I’m a
native Floridian, and live with my husband, Howard, of 24
years on a small cattle ranch in north Florida. We also have
two cats, one adopted and one who thinks she owns the place.
“Patches” is a calico who wandered up one day as a tiny
kitten. We adopted her. “Sugar” is a Tiger Siamese and was a
gift from my Mom and thinks she’s the Queen of Sheba. Tori
is our black cat, who passed away last year. She was 14
years old and is missed by us, though not at all by Sugar,
who moved right on up to “top dog.” Check them all out on my
page.
I retired
from real estate last year after being a broker for 25
years. Now I’m doing all the things I’d put on hold for so
long and only got to do occasionally. I paint in Oil,
Acrylic, watercolor and sketch in pen and ink. I’m a member
of the art guilds in Lake City and Live Oak, Fl., and
Valdosta, GA. I’m also a member of the Plein Air Painters of
North Florida. (Those of us who enjoy painting outdoors).
I’m a
photographer who loves to shoot just about anything except
scheduled events like weddings, retirement parties, etc. I
love to catch the action in animal shots and the striking
beauty in florals and scenery.
Examples of
my work can be found in the online gallery on my web page. I
am available for commissioned work in any of these fields.
If you have a favorite pet and a nice garden and would like
for me to paint the pet in the garden, just send me a good
photo of each of them. Or if you’d like shots of your pets,
give me a call. If you would like a floral print in a
certain color, please contact me. I have quite a large
inventory of prints of my work and hope to have them all
catalogued on line soon.
And then
there's writing. I absolutely love to write.
I’m a romantic at heart and I love mysteries, so I guess
that’s how I landed in the Romantic Mystery genre. People
are always asking me where I get my characters and the
locations I write about. I have a very vivid imagination (at
least I’ve always been accused of that) and things just pop
into this brain of mine. Some of my characters I like, some
I don’t, but that’s just the nature of the genre. I’m
currently working on two novels, neither of which have
titles yet. I’m nearly finished with them and hope to be
submitting to a publisher by year end. So please keep an eye
out for them. I’ll update you when they’re finished.
I have a
son and two daughters. Being a grandmother (Gigi to my
grandkids), I would be remiss in not mentioning them. They
are four of the most important things in my life. They are
so special and I love them beyond words. Of course, you’ll
also find a photo of them at the farm.
I love
hearing from my readers and customers so feel free to e-mail
me.
Enjoy my
site and keep reading!!
